Dental Visit

I have wandered why people were always scared to go to the dentist. I went regularly for my semi annual visits until I was told I needed to have my wisdom teeth extracted. I didn't understand why I needed to remove some teeth that were not giving me any problems. I was told I had cavities in mine, that's why they needed to be removed. Do you know with this information I put off going to the dentist for two years. I'm not sure why this terrified me. I finally got the courage to have my wisdom teeth extracted. I had the procedure done on Thursday. I was very nervous. The dentist scared me even more when he was explaining the procedure and telling me how he would have to cut my teeth in half to get them out. My heart was pounding. I felt like a little child and wanted my mother to come and console me at that very moment.
I was shock to see that the procedure went very well. My teeth came out whole and quickly. The dentist said I was his new best friend. The extraction took all of fifteen minutes. Wow, I got myself worked up for nothing. My mouth is a little sore but I have not felt any pain. So I guess I can resume my regular visit back to the dentist twice a year. I got the hard part taken care of.

Public Transportation

I have been riding public transportation now for 3 months and I must say it is very interesting. I have always drove to work because I lived in the city and often worked in the suburbs. I get to see all types of characters each day and some of them I get to see everyday. I can not believe the number of people who are talking loudly on the cellphones at 7:00 AM in the morning. Do they really think everyone on the trains wants to hear their conversation? I also like the ones who put their bags in the seat so that no one can sit next to them. The most interesting person I seen on the train so far was a guy who got on the train and was walking and talking as if he was a lady. "Hey girl, I just came from my baby's daddy house." "Are you coming to my wedding? "Girl ,because we are wearing lavender."  "Why didn't you come to by baby shower?" "Why are all these people on the train looking at me crazy?" I believe he wanted the attention, why else would he get on the train talking so everyone could hear him. I wonder who and what will I see next week? I must stay these characters keep me entertained on my way to and from work.

My Father

I can not believe that my father has been on his way to my house since August 28, to bring me my birthday gift. I ask myself why do I even deal with him. He continues to lie for no reason. I am 35 years old and have grown out of expecting to get something for my birthday from my parents. Although, I was surprised that my mother took me out to dinner. My father called me at 6:30 in the morning on August 26 to wish me a happy or late birthday. My birthday is on August 28. It's a shame he can never remember my exact birthday especially since I am the oldest and his other daughter's birthday is four days before mine. Why does he keep calling to tell me he is on his way but never shows up. I only deal with him because of the fact that he is my father. I don't need this kind of aggravation at my age. What are some suggestions on how I should deal with him?
